FiiO R7 R2R Desktop Music Player with R2R DAC The FiiO R7 R2R is an all-in-one desktop music player, DAC, headphone amplifier, digital transport and USB sound card designed to form the heart of a compact HiFi system. Its upright desktop format brings together streaming, local playback, headphone listening and integration with powered speakers or a wider audio system in a single device. Fully Differential 24-bit R2R DAC At the heart of the R7 R2R is FiiO's self-developed fully differential complementary 24-bit R2R resistor-array DAC . Four channels use a total of 192 precision thin-film resistors with 0.1% tolerance and low temperature drift , giving the R7 R2R its distinctive natural and smooth presentation while maintaining excellent accuracy. Snapdragon Performance with Android 13 The R7 R2R runs a customised Android 13 operating system powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 platform. With 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage , it has plenty of performance for streaming services, large local music libraries and third-party applications while leaving additional capacity for future software and app updates. High-Performance USB DAC A dedicated XMOS XU316 USB interface allows the R7 R2R to operate as a high-quality external sound card for computers, tablets and compatible mobile devices. USB decoding supports up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512 , making it equally suitable for music playback, films and other desktop audio applications. 5.5-inch HD Touchscreen The large 5.5-inch portrait touchscreen provides an intuitive interface for navigating music, streaming applications and system settings. Touch operation is complemented by physical rotary controls, while FiiO's redesigned user interface gives the R7 R2R a purpose-built desktop HiFi feel. Five Gain Levels Five selectable gain modes allow the headphone amplifier to accommodate everything from sensitive in-ear monitors to demanding full-size headphones. Available modes include Low, Medium, High, Headphone and Super Headphone, with balanced output reaching up to 3700mW at 32Ω in the highest mode. Fully Differential Audio Architecture The analogue stage uses carefully selected audio components throughout, including four Rubycon audio electrolytic capacitors, four Rubycon film capacitors, four Burr-Brown OPA1656 op-amps, two OPA1612 op-amps and twelve high-capacity filtering capacitors . Flexible AC and DC Power The R7 R2R features both AC and external DC power options . Its built-in 30W switching power supply incorporates filtering at the AC input stage, while the analogue section uses a ±12V supply architecture. An external 12V/3A DC input also allows the R7 R2R to be partnered with compatible higher-grade power supplies such as the FiiO PL50. FiiO DAPS Audio Processing FiiO's proprietary DAPS digital audio processing system combines a high-capacity FPGA with dual custom femtosecond oscillators. The platform supports global 10-band PEQ , global lossless playback without SRC, All-to-DSD processing and low-jitter S/PDIF output. Coaxial output jitter is specified as low as 71.5ps , making the R7 R2R equally capable as a dedicated digital transport. Auto EQ and 10-band PEQ Built-in Auto EQ provides quick matching for compatible headphone profiles, while the global 10-band parametric equaliser allows individual frequency bands to be adjusted manually for a more personalised sound. Nine Operating Modes The R7 R2R can switch between Android, Pure Music, AirPlay, USB DAC, Roon Ready, Bluetooth Receiver, Line Input, Coaxial and Optical decoding modes . Remote and screen-mirroring control are also supported through the FiiO Control app. Fast Wired and Wireless Connectivity Dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi provides convenient wireless streaming, while a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet port offers a stable low-latency connection for network audio and large music libraries. A supplied headphone-port protective cover helps keep unused connections protected when the unit is being used primarily with speakers.
